Mystery Skype/Hangout

Mystery Skype is a critical thinking challenge that your class takes part in while Skyping with another class somewhere else in the world. Your students' goal is to guess the other school's location (country, state, city) before they guess yours! We do this by taking turns asking yes and no questions.

If finding a school with which to communicate seems daunting to you, we found a super alternative to be a Qui suis-je? style activity.
With thanks to this blog:
In this activity, students complete ID cards including personal information such as date of birth, family descriptions and personal preferences using basic, familiar vocabulary and expressions in French.

Schedule a GUESS WHO? Style Google Hangout or Skype with other schools within your
board or neighbourhood!
Exchange ID cards in advance, brainstorm pertinent questions, arrange a time/date and have a ton of fun practicing!
Invite a mystery student in front  of a webcam wearing a mask and schools take turns asking yes/no questions to GUESS WHO? First school to guess correctly gets a point.
Wanna play?  Allons-y!

New to Skype or Hangout?  Pas de soucis!
