Using a communicative and action-oriented approach to teaching French, we hope to put meaningful and authentic communication at the centre of all activities. Using technology, teachers and students will explore opportunities to interact with other French speakers from various sociocultural groups in real-life contexts. Join us!
Mystery Skype is a critical thinking challenge that your class takes part in while Skyping with another class somewhere else in the world. Your students' goal is to guess the other school's location (country, state, city) before they guess yours! We do this by taking turns asking yes and no questions.

In this activity, students complete ID cards including personal information such as date of birth, family descriptions and personal preferences using basic, familiar vocabulary and expressions in French.
Schedule a GUESS WHO? Style Google Hangout or Skype with other schools within your
board or neighbourhood!
Exchange ID cards in advance, brainstorm pertinent questions, arrange a time/date and have a ton of fun practicing!
Invite a mystery student in front of a webcam wearing a mask and schools take turns asking yes/no questions to GUESS WHO? First school to guess correctly gets a point.
